We might have a new Home Secretary, but the same old double standard is alive and kicking here in Britain.

Enter Sheikh Abdul Rahman al Sudais, chief cleric of the Grand Mosque in Mecca. Despite repeatedly asserting that ‘jews are scum, rats and pigs and monkeys’, the Sheikh was busy preaching this week at the East London Mosque, in Whitechapel.
Hmmm…. Whitechapel… Didn’t a few Jews once reside there…? As in, thousands…?How sad, that the area is now hosting the Sheikh and his hatred.
And he doesn’t just direct his ire at Jews. Oh no. Al Sudais is an equally opportunity offender who has also bashed Christians and Hindus. He refers to Christians as ‘cross worshippers‘ and to Hindus as ‘idol worshippers’.
The chairman of the East London mosque is Muhammad Abdul Bari.
Does that name ring any bells…? It should do. Bari is also the leader of the Muslim Council Of Britain (MCB).
The MCB has often been accused of anti semitism and clearly continues to welcome al-Sudais in spite of – or maybe because of? – his hateful remarks about Jews. Human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell:
“Al-Sudais has stoked religious sectarianism and anti-Jewish racism. He has never expressed any regret.”

Tatchell is calling upon the East London mosque and the MCB to publicly condemn al-Sudais’s “shameful prejudice.”
Tatchell also says:
As a condition for him being allowed to preach, the East London Mosque and the MCB should insist that al-Sudais apologise for his anti semitism, and publicly state his opposition to hatred, discrimination and violence towards Jewish people.
The East London mosque received $US1m from the Saudis towards its new London Muslim Centre. The mosque’s links to Saudi Arabia go back many years, according to the BBC.
“I don’t understand why the Home Secretary is allowing al-Sudais into Britain, given that similar hate preachers have been banned. Is it because of the close business links between the British and Saudi establishments? “
He added:
“Al-Sudais was appointed imam of the Grand Mosque by the royal leaders of the pro-western Saudi dictatorship. His continuing tenure as chief imam is a damning indictment of the Saudi regime’s toleration of anti-Semitism.
And Mr Tatchell stated:
‘I’m surprised that the Jewish community in Britain has not kicked up a big fuss about him coming to Britain.”
Indeed. So, for any of my fellow Brits – and especially if you’re a fellow Jew – reading this, isn’t it about time we started raising hell over the fact that yet another rabid, racist Islamist has been allowed to freely enter Britain and spread his spite?

And for an example of al-Sudais at his anti semitic worst, here’s some of what he said in April 2002, in a sermon that was broadcast on Saudi T.V.

The Daily Telegraph has noted this anti-Semitism, and that al-Sudais has described Jews as “scum of the earth”, “rats of the world” and “monkeys and pigs” and suggested that they should be annihilated.

BBC’s Panorama has also exposed al-Sudais as a hateful extremist. On, August 2005, in A Question of Leadership it alleged that Sheikh Sudais says one thing to Western audiences and something quite different to his Muslim followers in the Middle East.
The BBC reported that al-Sudais has said:
“The worst … of the enemies of Islam are those… whom he… made monkeys and pigs, the aggressive Jews and oppressive Zionists and those that follow them: the callers of the trinity and the cross worshippers… those influenced by the rottenness of their ideas, and the poison of their cultures the followers of secularism… How can we talk sweetly when the Hindus and the idol worshippers indulge in their overwhelming hatred against our brothers… in Muslim Kashmir…”

WorldNetDaily has also raised concerns about the Sheikh. It details al-Sudais’ broadcast to two million followers in Mecca, where he yet again called Jews “scum”, “the rats of the world,” “prophet killers … pigs and monkeys.”

Of course, the real question is: why is someone who points to this very hatred in Islam banned (Geert Wilders) while someone who espouses the hatred given total freedom…?
I think we know the answer by now, don’t we? When Wilders was invited to the House Of Lords, the Muslim community took umbrage and threatened to ‘mobilise’. And within a day, Wilders was persona non grata.
Perhaps British Jews should start emulating the rage and hysteria of British Muslims…?

British politicians have lost their minds. They can ban Geert Wilders from entering the country but they let this muslim sheikh in. They have gone completely nuts in Brittain.
It's funny how muslims living in the west demand equal (and sometimes more) rights but at the same time their fellow muslims treat the non muslim minority population living in muslim dominated countries like complete crap (examples of that are abundant).
I don't live in England but i do hope someone stands up and throws a porks head into that east london mosque as a sign of protest. islam doesn't deserve the respect of the non-muslims

Sadly I think Britain is fast becoming a lost cause. We now have policewomen dressing up as Muslim females, in full burhkas etc, some restaurants are only now selling halal meat, and so on.
Muslims should have *equal* rights – not special rights.

Yep, he's certainly being very outspoken about the series of Islamic extremists that Britain keeps letting in – probably because said extremists hate Gay people as much as they do Jews.
All I remember about Peter Tatchell is that – have I got this right? – didn't he used to very publicly 'out' Gay people, often against their wishes…?
I seem to recall a lot of controversy about that.

Our establishments seem to have become such prime exhitbitions of duplicity and cowardice. If only, there were approaches like the French / Chinese towards dealing with these ppl.
